Does semen thicken with age?

As I get older it seems that my semen comes out in solid "globs" and isn't very liquid. Is this normal or could there be a problem?

It can be a very normal variant. As men age the prostate puts out less fluid and "globs" are very common. It should liquify within a few minutes of coming out. Drinking a lot of water to stay well hydrated may help but I wouldn't worry about this as a problem because there is nothing you can really do about it.

Safe sex and HV-positive partners...

I have always had safe sex or at least as safe as I can be. I always use a condom during anal intercourse (either giving or receiving). I have never made the HIV status an issue knowing I play safe, but would not have sex with someone I know is positive.

However, I recently found out someone who had fingered me is positive. What are the chances of me getting HIV? Again, I have done this for years without a second thought and nothing has happened. Is it just my paranoia due to the fact that I know he was positive? I am certain he had no lesions on his finger. I think I am just over-thinking this?

You are over-thinking this and you must relax. You will not catch HIV from someone putting his finger into your rectum unless there was semen on it.

It is certainly your choice not to have sex with someone who is HIV-positive, but I can tell you with reasonable certainty that you probably have in the past without even knowing it. There are many men who are positive and have not recently been tested as well as men who worry that you won't have sex with them if the admit that they are positive.

There are millions of people who have satisfying sexual relationships with HIV-positive men without catching the virus. Of course they have protected sex, but so do you.

Try and relax and everyone should of course periodically get HIV tested. Take care.

The result of rimming?

I rimmed a guy last week and now I'm having a weird reaction. He seemed quite clean (the only way I will do it) but a couple of days later I noticed that my stool is a bright green. I can think of nothing I ate and have had no major changes in my diet.

Could this be caused by the rimming? I do understand that it's impossible to be immaculate "down there" but I have had no other symptoms such as nausea or diarrhea. Please help.

It is impossible to be "immaculate down there" and just because there is no visible feces (which is always nice) does not mean that there aren't microscopic organisms like hepatitis virus or parasites or other STD's like gonorrhea or Chlamydia.

Parasites are certainly the most common problem with rimming and can have few symptoms. My feeling is that the green stool is just an intestinal upset not related to the rimming but if it keeps up you should see a doctor for a stool test for parasites. You don't have to have nausea and vomiting as a sign of parasites.

Good luck.
